We Are Pregnant!

The news is out-we are 11 weeks pregnant today! We are so excited! Our due date is November 21st! Max is hoping for a brother, but is OK with a girl, too! Annabelle is convinced that it IS a girl! Let's hope she's right, for her sake! I think if it turned out to be a boy, she would make him pay. My doctor is from Argentina, and we speak spanish, but english when I get confused! Next week I get an ultrasound, so I am really excited about that! I am also excited about coming out of the "sick as a dog" stage, which should be any day now, I just know! We can't wait to see what another Holt looks like!

Monterrey, Mexico

Darren has been in Mexico this past week. He took an exploratory trip with a camp from Alabama to create a new partnership with a camp in Mexico. He loved Mexico! The man in the picture is Victor Hugo, president of the board of CCI Latin America. He is a precious man, and Darren says his heart is changed just by being around Victor! Darren had a wonderful time with Victor and his family, and meeting so many camp people!

Loungecats, or Dogs

Darren has been in Texas and then in Mexico for the past few weeks. This is exactly what we do when he is gone-nothing!

Our Picnic!

We got to go to some mountains about 30 minutes from where we live. It was great! We had a picnic lunch with the Bruneau's, our boss and his family! It did start pouring rain right after we ate, but we were thankful for the 3 hours we had!

A Daily Reminder

Everyday when we drive Max to school, we get to drive next to a good piece of the Panama Canal, probably for about 10 minutes. It fills my soul with wonder. Even though the Canal is man-made, it is amazing, and you know God made the people that created it! We love it when the cruise ships go through the Canal, even though they are way smaller than most of the ships we see go through. It is absolutely my favorite thing in Panama, and a daily reminder of how big and great and wondrous God really is!

The Easter Bunny Comes to Panama

Yes, the Easter Bunny comes to Panama, but not with eggs and only for the American kids! Easter in Panama is only a religious holiday-no bunnies, eggs, or Easter candy! We do get a 4 day holiday, though! This was our conversation in the car today about the Easter Bunny!

Me-(explaining who the Easter Bunny is and that he is just for pretend because it is fun, that he leaves candy, etc.)
Annabelle-I LOVE IT!!!
Max-Are you sure he comes to Panama, Mommy?
Me-We'll find out tonight!
Annabelle-Are you going to talk to him when he comes in the house?
Me-I can...what do you want me to say?
Annabelle-Tell him not to ring the doorbell because it is nighttime, and that I like pink candy.
Max-Does he bring presents, too?
Me-Probably not!

One Cute Baby

This is my friend Angie (Anderson) Ratterree's baby boy! His name is Andy and I think he is the cutest baby ever! He was born last week-there's nothing like a chubby baby!
