Out of the Closet

and into his real baby bed! Simon is sleeping in his "big boy" bed now (rather than the pack-n-play,) mainly because he doesn't cry at night too much anymore, so now he won't keep Max awake. He has changed so much these past few weeks. He is getting so smart! He has definitely left the baby stage, and tries to keep up with the big kids! He LOVES to be outside now, and tries to turn the doorknob of the back door to get out! He is also sitting down and really playing with his toys...stacking them, putting shapes where they go, etc. He loves to be naked, and is as rough as ever. His loyalties have also taken a turn, as he now prefers his Daddy to me, but at least I had the first year!
In other news, Max is starting soccer again, with Darren coaching. He can't wait! He daily pulls me into his interests. Today he had me doing yardwork and learning how to shoot his bow. That's some serious persuasion, people.
Annabelle had a dentist appointment today. When I asked her what the dentist was like, (since we have never met him before,) she answered, "Not bad." As if she has had years of experience with dentists. When I picked her up from her cousin, Kyra's house, they had a little show planned. It was a pajama fashion show called "The Girl and the Reindeer." Annabelle was the girl, doing a dramatic interpretation of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" while Kyra played the reindeer dancing around her. They were indeed wearing Christmas pajamas, and apparently they had my nephew Cooper wearing Hello Kitty pajamas at one point. The he ditched them and ran around naked, but gave us a bow at the end of the show. This is life with Annabelle. I'm just glad she has friends who understand her! That's all for now...

Hope for Good Music!

I LOVED the Grammy's last night! There were so many good performances, artists, songs, etc! It was a toss-up, between Coldplay and Radiohead, but this was my favorite performance last night!

Pray

There is power in prayer, and we can pray for this family who lost their baby yesterday, and for a friend, Cortney, who lost her sweet baby boy a few weeks ago.

I am a Podcast Lover!

Praise the Lord for podcasts! I don't know why I haven't done this before, but I finally subscribed to the podcasts to 2 of my very favorite teachers, Pete Briscoe and Andy McQuitty. Today, Pete Briscoe was up with his message from 2 Sundays ago. Food for the soul! Good for when you are working out, cooking, or instead of T.V. at night!
