Pet Day!

Max has been studying creation since school started, and this week they talked about animals! Yesterday we had Pet Day, and everyone brought their pets to school. (Note...liability isn't as big of a deal here!) Anyway, Rusty tried to behave, but was a little excited to see everyone!

Hide and Seek

Annabelle was hiding from me today like this, and then Rusty joined her. A minute later, he realized this would be a good place to take a nap! If you can't sleep ON the couch, there's always UNDER the couch! What can I say? I have creative children!

Fun in the...

Clouds, and sometimes the sun! We are in the rainy season, which means it rains, at some point, everyday for 7 or 8 months! When it stops, we LOVE our neighborhood pool! It is a huge blessing, and has made our transition to hot weather all year so much better!

Refreshment

I have been going to a Bible Study through our church with about 12 women of all ages. We are doing Beth Moore's study on Daniel. Last night was only our second meeting, but it was so encouraging and challenging! I have not been able to do a Bible Study with other women for about a year and a half now, and I missed it! We are meant to live as a body, not as individuals, and our experience of God is so much richer when we are intertwined with other believers. OK-that was my mini-sermon of the day! I am just super thankful today to be a part of the body of Christ, and that "as living stones, we are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood..." 1 Peter 2 v. 5

Max Art

This is Max's recreation of the boat we took to the indian village last week! I thought it was so cute! P.S.-Darren is the one who made the woman anatomically correct, per Max and Annabelle's orders!

Say Hello To My New Best Friend

Seriously. Darren has officially been replaced as my best friend. At 31 weeks, I feel like I am 90 years old! I so look forward to this, my heating pad, at the end of the day!

Max's Teacher

We had Max's teacher over for dinner a few nights ago! Her name is Abi, and she is from Dallas! What a small world! She is also the co-leader of the Bible Study I am in right now. She is wonderful and we all love her!

9 Years

While my mom was here, Darren and I got to go on an overnight anniversary celebration! We have always taken a small trip to celebrate the year together. This one was in a valley that was created by a volcano a long time ago. It was beautiful and so relaxing! I wouldn't rather be married to anyone else in the world! I love you, Pook!

Our National Geographic Outing!

This is what happens when you leave your husband at home...
I did not cut and paste my Mom into this picture! We were all impressed with her dancing skills!
Where's Waldo?
Max gets a tatoo-it is still there after 6 days!

They danced for us after lunch

This was how our lunch was cooked-fish from the river and patacones!
The river was the kids' favorite part!
Annabelle as we are getting on the boat, "I'm not so sure about this boat!"
We loved this view from the back of the boat!

My mom came last week, and we took her on a day trip to see how the indigenous indians live here in Panama! They are the Embera Drua Indians, and they speak their own language. We got to eat lunch with them, play in the river, dance, and see how they live. It was unbelievable to see their simple way of living, and how close they are as a community! Here are some fun pics...

Working or Playing?

I had to document this moment simply because, at this point, the kids see washing the car as a fun activity, a treat! I know this won't last forever, and that at some point, they will realize that their Daddy is tricking them into getting some chores done! Aren't they cute, though?

28 Weeks and Definitely Counting!

This is me yesterday at 28 weeks! We had a doctor's appointment, and I think we have finally decided which hospital to have the baby in. It isn't the newest or fanciest hospital here, but it is where my doctor works most of the time. She said that the baby is doing great! This is by far the longest pregnancy we have had-we can't wait to see the baby! So far he likes french fries and chocolate ice cream, and Milky Ways!
