Cedar Creek Lake!

Our new friends, The Porters, invited us to their lakehouse for the weekend! There were 4 families there-12 kids in all! It was the perfect weekend to be on the lake. Max and Annabelle had never been on a boat in a lake, so they loved it! Max tried to wakeboard, but it was really hard. Annabelle loved the "hot dog," and Simon wasn't so sure about his lifejacket, but liked watching his Daddy ski and wakeboard! It was a great end to our summer!

Yummy Breakfast

When we went home last weekend, my Mom made this for us for breakfast and I have been thinking about it ever since! She used greek yogurt, which I am now highly addicted to! I could eat this all day long!

Random

We have been settling in, unpacking, making new friends, and trying to enjoy the last days of summer! I took lots of good pool, cousin, and farm pics over the weekend, so I will post them later! Hope everyone has a great week!

My Verse for the Year!

In our church's recent study of Colossians, which I have LOVED, the Lord has laid on my heart my focus for this coming school year. Max will be going to the elementary school down the street, and Annabelle will do Kindergarten home with me! They are growing up so fast-too fast for my liking! I want to invest in them and cultivate a love for the Lord and His word. This is my focus:
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16
Lord,
I will do what it takes so that the word of Christ will dwell in them richly...study, meditate, memorize, talk about it, walk in it!

A First of Many

We are in "Ranger land," so we went with my parents to the game last night! Max was thrilled, but at the end of the evening decided that soccer is still his favorite sport! He loved the excitement and the food, and the 2 home runs we saw. He was a little disappointed that he didn't catch a ball, but we told him that there would be many more chances now that we live in Arlington. Annabelle was antsy after the 2nd inning, of course, but loved the cotton candy and big pretzel. She told us about halfway through the game that one of the "blue guys" was waving at her! Simon had his own fun by staying with my aunt, one of his new favorite people! We left when the storms rolled in...I wonder if they still had the fireworks show at the end? It was a fun summer night!
