The Future of Texas Tech!
The pictures are proof! My parents gave Darren tickets to the Texas Tech game at Cowboys Stadium for his birthday, and we finally got to go Saturday night! *Thanks for babysitting, Mom!* There are no words to describe how awesome it was. Just seeing all of that red and black was too good to be true! We grinnned the whole time we were there! We sat on the fifth row up from the field on the 30 yard line, so we could see all of our favorite players (Potts, Torres, Batch, Carter, etc.!)! It was the best night-Max's first time to see Tech play in person and first time to go to the new stadium! My Dad and I agreed that it is not too early to start brainwashing Max into thinking that Texas Tech is the ONLY good college to go to! The Aggies do it, so why can't we? Time to start planning a trip to Jones Stadium for next year...

My Shepherd
God is my Shepherd
And I am his little lamb
He feeds me
He guides me
He looks after me.
I have everything I need.
Inside, my heart is very quiet.
As quiet as lying still in soft green grass
In a meadow
By a little stream.
Even when I walk through
the dark, scary, lonely places
I won't be afraid
Because my Shepherd knows where I am.
He is here with me
He keeps me safe
He rescues me
He makes me strong
And brave.
He is getting wonderful things ready for me
Especially for me
Everything I ever dreamed of!
He fills my heart so full of happiness
I can't hold it all inside.
Wherever I go I know
God's Never Stopping
Never Giving Up
Unbreaking
Always and Forever
Love
Will go, too!
We were a good ways into The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones (Thanks, Becca!)when we came to Psalm 23 last night. I love this Bible story book because it is accurate, easy for kids to understand, and points everything to Christ in such a beautiful way. When I saw this psalm, it brought back so many memories of Costa Rica for me. My phonics class memorized Psalm 23 during my first semester of language school. I remember where I was while I memorized every part of it over the course of a few months. It became so dear to me-I still say it to myself in spanish! So this is for me...
1 Jehová es mi pastor; nada me faltará.
2 En lugares de delicados pastos me hará descansar;
2 En lugares de delicados pastos me hará descansar;
Junto a aguas de reposo me pastoreará.
3 Confortará mi alma;
3 Confortará mi alma;
Me guiará por sendas de justicia por amor de su nombre.
4 Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte,
4 Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte,
No temeré mal alguno, porque tú estarás conmigo;
Tu vara y tu cayado me infundirán aliento.
5 Aderezas mesa delante de mí en presencia de mis angustiadores;
5 Aderezas mesa delante de mí en presencia de mis angustiadores;

My Baby
My baby will be 2 next week! In nostalgic reflection, I went back and read his birth story this morning. Praising God for him!
